History

1989-1993
Advanced Programming Service (APS) started its operations in Canada in 1989. We opened our plant operations with a borrowed single Data I/O unisite programmer and 29B Universal Programmer operating out of the basement.

Our site added S1000 equipment to its production gang programmer. Production volume increased and it doubled from previous year's production. We also gained the QA2000 DIP Handler with a UNSITE Universal Programmer to our equipment list within two years of operations to increase the efficiency and automate production . This enabled us to double the growth while maintaining the quality.

The PM 3000 programmer/handler was added to our line of automated equipment after extensive renovations to our facility.Again we experienced unprecedented growth and enhanced customer loyalty.Continued increased production volumes added to our reputation as a leading service provider of programming chips.

1994-1999
To better serve our customers APS was relocated Markham, Ontario.Additional production equipments using the latest technology was added to ensure high quality and enhance efficiency. To meet our customer demand, a tape and reel production line was added.

As business continued to grow, we moved to a larger unit in Markham and also purchased a new production equipment PM 7000 Surface Mount Handler/Laser Marker.

APS added additional equipment to the Tape & Reel line, QMT1500 Automated Tape & Reel machine and also added dry pack (vacuum with gas flush) capability. We also purchased an additional PM2500 and added a new service line of radial and axial lead forming.

Our company experienced dramatic growth requiring the need to increase our production area. APS currently has over 7200 square feet.Capacity was increased with the purchase of a PM 3000 automated programmer/handler.

Maintaining our commitment to quality and service APS, though the help of our employees achieved ISO 9001:1994 certification.

2000-2003
Due to the changes in technology and component pin configurations, APS was the first company in Canada to purchase a fine pitch programmer/handler and tape and reel machine, the Data I/O PP100.A Liebert UPS was installed to maintain correct plant voltages throughout the year.

In order to increase device programming support, the BP 3600 automated fine programmer with Tape and Reel capabilities was added. In our continuing commitment to quality, APS received the ISO 9001:2000 certification.
